Both are equipped with grooved heavy duty cast iron platens that provide optimal longevity and superior performance. The heating elements are embedded in the platens to provide superior heat distribution and fast recovery for consistent and efficient cooking production. Star's panini grill can handle products up to 3" providing the versatility to cook the thickest sandwiches to the thinnest quesadillas. The spring hinge system provides effortless operation of the top plate and applies even pressure to the product for a consistent sear. Star's GX10IG Panini Grill has a 3/4" bottom splash guard to protect against grease spills and a removable grease trough for easy cleanup.
